From Friday til Sunday, you'll camp under the stars, dance on the main stage and explore some of the 250 acres of tree topped mountain of one of the first original American Shaker villages. We'll have multiple built environments designed to help you disconnect.
Shaker Mountain is designed to bring the best artists together with open minded individuals looking to dance and find peace within non-traditional spaces.
For Shaker Mountain Festival, I was charged with developing a fun, colorful, and loose branding system that could play and change as the lead up to the festival got closer.
The Logo utilizes cutout elements referencing the area around the mountain the festival is held on, including the sun, which sets dramatically at a lookout on top of the mountain (a major highlight of each evening).
These elements come together in the logo to form a monogram of sorts (SM).
The system however breaks this logo apart for moments of play and movement, interacting with the wavy, glitched-out type treatments, forever engaged in a typographic dance.
